Hundred Million Jobs Mission

Hundred Million Jobs is a national initiative to create 100 million new jobs by transforming India’s employment ecosystem. Founded by a coalition of industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and policy practitioners, the Foundation is guided by the belief that job creation is the foundation of India’s long-term growth.

The Foundation operates through a consortium model, bringing together government, private sector, and civil society to deliver large-scale, outcome-driven job creation. Through partnerships with state governments, the Foundation designs and implements skilling programmes, builds district-level employment ecosystems, and strengthens placement pathways.

CIPP backs the Foundation’s research and policy work. This includes district-level labour force surveys, national employment analysis, and advocacy through the Foundation’s Seven Pillar Framework, addressing data infrastructure, skilling gaps, regulatory challenges, and systems that enable job creation at scale.

The district is the nexus for job creation. By focusing on place-based interventions and demand-led skilling, Hundred Million Jobs aims to ensure that India’s growth translates into jobs for the millions of young Indians entering the workforce each year.
